Fiction and Fandoms
- I love OC x Canon shipping. I love shipping my OCs with characters from other media, especially my faves. Sometimes this turns into self-indulgent crossover ideas that may or may not tie in with the original story. If OC x Canon isn't your thing then, uh, whoops, I guess.
- I follow the good ol' rule of "If I don't like it, I block and scroll". I don't think it's cool to harass actual people over fictional characters, scenarios, and art when they aren't hurting anyone in real life. We have blocks and mutes on social media for a reason. Also, there are more pressing matters to worry about.
- I am a firm believer that fiction is fiction and reality is reality. Creating and consuming media with dark themes does not equal endorsement of it in reality.

General Terms

Terms of Service are subject to change.
Everything stated within the Terms of Service may vary or change depending on the commission type.
Any and all art or work commissioned will be made by ZephyrusYX.
Any and all art commissioned will be digital.
When you receive the files of the commissioned art, please save all files given to you on your own devices.
I have the right to refuse or cancel any commission should I feel the need to do so, especially in the case that you do not follow the rules of my Terms of Service.
Behavior that is found uncomfortable or disrespectful will not be tolerated.
Not following my rules will also result in me blacklisting you.
I usually post the commissions I do. I will not tag you in the posts I make without your approval.
I will only accept commissions with hard deadlines 3 weeks at minimum. This is subject to change depending on the commission type.

Process

The time it takes for a commissioned piece to be finished varies and is dependent on the commission type, response times of both parties, and events that may occur outside of the commission.
You, as the commissioner, are expected to give proper references to me to ensure you are satisfied with the commissioned art.
At least one or two proper references are preferred, though additional details are always better. Extra details like character personalities and desired small touches are appreciated.
If you want a specific pose for the character to be done, give me the reference and I will use it. Do not expect me to stay exact to the pose reference, though, as it may be altered slightly.
If you have specific details in mind concerning the commissioned art at any point in the process, please let me know.
When the sketch is done, I will show it to you for confirmation.
This is the only point where any changes you want to be done can be discussed without any charge, unless the sketch needs to be altered in a way where it needs to be redone.
I will give you an estimation of the time it will take me to finish the commissioned art. Do not expect a quick, immediate piece to be done.
Do not expect the estimation to be accurate, as anything can happen and the time could be pushed back.
Throughout this period, I need you, as the commissioner, to be available for questions I may need to ask.
If you want screenshots, I will be more than okay with sending you them. Please take your time to look at work-in-progress screenshots when they are provided and inform me of concerns after every screenshot if you have them.
If you are not available or will not be available at any point, please inform me if you are able to and how long it may take.
If I am not informed of possible absence, your commission may not be completed.
After 7 days of no contact, I will pause your commission and inform you of it. You will still be able to request me to resume the piece.
After 14 days of no contact, I will terminate your commission with no refunds.
If you wish to have the commissioned art finished after the 14 day mark, you will have to pay a fee. I cannot guarantee your commission will be the first priority, but I will still commit to the art and put my effort into it.
When the commissioned art is finished, and everything is paid for, I will send you a watermarked screenshot for approval. You will receive the unwatermarked piece through Google Drive or an Email of your preference. Please read any additional notes or files provided with the given piece, especially in a Google Drive folder.
Please save all given files to your own device.
You may receive a variant of the commissioned art for posting—Please use that image in the case that you want to post the commissioned art.

Payment

At this time, I accept payments made through PayPal and Ko-fi.
I only accept USD currency.
I take an initial fee and a secondary payment to finish the commission.
The starting fee cost varies depending on the commission, and at times may not be applicable at all.
The secondary payment is done after the sketch is finished and when you are satisfied with it. Once that payment is made, I will finish the commission.
I am willing to take both payments upfront. The sketch will still go through the process of being approved, and I will simply continue on with the commission when you state you're satisfied.
I am also willing to take 50% of the second payment before I start on finishing the piece, and 50% after the piece is done if you need that as an option.
Extra fees may be added to your commission for certain things.
Requesting changes to the art during the sketch is free of cost unless the request required me to redo the entire sketch or most of it. In this case, you will need to pay another starting fee cost.
Requesting changes to the art after the second payment will cost a fee. The fee will be dependent on how big or small the changes are, and if the changes were by my own error or the your own (Examples: Me missing a detail in a given reference would be an error on my part—In this case, there would be no fee at all. You requesting additional details that were not given in a reference would be an error on your part).
If you do not want me to use, post, or display the art, there will be a fee. The fee's amount depends on the commission type and the time put into the work.
If you are absent for 14 days and your commission is terminated, you may request it to be finished. This will cost a fee that is dependent on how far along I was before the commission was terminated.
I will not accept requests or offers for lesser payments.
Refunds are not guaranteed.
If the commissioned art is finished, you may not request a refund.
You will not receive a refund if you cancel the commission after the sketch has been made and after I have already started working on the rest of the commission.
You will not receive a refund if I cancel the commission while working on it because you did not follow the rules and/or were disrespectful.
If I have worked on the commission and you are not available for 14 days without notice of absence, this will terminate your commission. You will not receive a refund for the terminated commission.
You can have a commission resumed after termination due to absence
Please only make your payments after both parties agree on the price.
Failure to pay any costs will cause a cancellation of your commission.

Usage

I, the artist, hold all rights to the art I create.
I'm allowed to use the artwork however I choose, such as posting it to any site or platform, using it to promote myself, and displaying it where I want to do so.
You, the commissioner, are allowed to use the art for personal purposes.
These purposes may include things like social media profile photos, banners, and digital wallpapers.
You may not use the commissioned art for commercial use without my consent.
Credit is required when you use the commissioned artwork.
You are not allowed to use the commissioned art for harmful purposes, AI-related matters, and NFTs.
Redistributing my artwork for printed merchandise, promotion of goods, promotion of services, or promotion of social media pages without my consent is prohibited.
My watermarks on the commissioned art are not to be altered in any way or form. Removal of my watermarks or initials is prohibited.
The commissioned art is not to be altered from its original state without my consent in any way.
